Join us for an evening of Kirtan (mantra meditation) with the Chaitanya Academy - led by Venu Krsna Das - to wind down at the end of your week. Step out of your mind and into your heart as we immerse ourselves in divine sound vibration.

No experience of chanting is necessary and if you have never chanted before and feel a bit apprehensive you are very welcome to come along and just bathe in the positive energy and good vibrations in the space.

We will end the eve with a warming cup of chai tea :-)

No equipment is necessary. We have LOTS of cushions and blankets for your comfort.

Entry is by donation (ideally please bring cash) but we would love it if you would pre-register so we can gauge attendance numbers.

This course with Dani takes you through the fundamentals of the practice in structured weekly classes. This course is great if you are brand new to yoga or for anyone wanting to refresh their knowledge of the main principles of yoga and ease back into the practice after a time away.

The course meets each Monday for six weeks. The classes are 75 minutes and the content is a mix of physical practice - guiding you to learn the basic postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) - and the sharing of yogic philosophy. You'll gain the knowledge and confidence to participate in open studio classes, learn how the breath has the power to influence your mind, and how to apply these teachings to your every day life.

Come spring, it’s time to clean out our closet, go inward, set new intentions, connect and begin the process of manifestation. Spring in Aotearoa is a beautiful period of renewal; we’ve weathered the winter, welcomed back longer days and can now set our sights on summer and the new year ahead. On Saturday  Oct 19, 2-4pm we will deep dive into the garden and spring within our heart to sow spring seeds for manifesting all that is in alignment with our desires and soul path. This is a dynamic and playful workshop to help you build the strength, awareness and confidence to get inverted in your practice. Inversions positively influence the cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, and endocrine systems. Also great for the cognitive function as oxygen-rich blood flows to your brain. After you adjust to it you begin to notice that your brain feels more alive. Since your brain is the largest consumer of oxygen in your body, more blood means more oxygen, which means better brain function.

THE HEART OF YOGA NIDRA |Embodying a Felt Sense of Sanctuary, Kindness and Compassion

An iRest® Yoga Nidra workshop

Taking one of Neal’s all-time favourite quotes about meditation as a guide, in this workshop we use the practice of iRest® Yoga Nidra to awaken and embody a felt sense of safety, sanctuary, kindness and compassion.

Central questions we may consider during our Yoga Nidra practice are what, where, and how do we experience these feelings in our body when:
You are kind to someone / some being?
You receive kindness?
You witness kindness?

The second part of the workshop will orientate around compassion. We will discuss what compassion is, what empathy is, and we will practice Yoga Nidra as an invitation to experience compassion for others and for ourselves.
