Q: Do you have an introductory offer?
A: Yes we do!  New students to Yoga Ground can purchase three classes for $30.  You have three weeks to use these from the date of purchase.

Q: What do I need to bring with me?
A: Nothing!  Just yourself.  We have everything you need for class including mats, blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets.  There is no additional charge for using these.  If you do have your own mat then feel free to bring it though.  We also sell water for $2 a bottle.

Q: What should I wear? 
A: Wear something that you feel comfortable in and can move freely in.  You do not need fancy leggings and branded clothing to do yoga!!!  Its a good idea to bring a layer to put on in the colder months that you can wear at the beginning and end of class.  For yin and yoga nidra you may even like to bring some cozy socks.

Q: Is the room heated?
A: The room does have a heat pump so we can keep the studio warm for you but we do not offer 'Hot Yoga' at Yoga Ground.

Q: How long before class can I eat? 
A: We recommend not eating at least 2 hours prior to class and try to have a light meal if you can.

Q: Do I have to do a beginners course before I can do the classes? 
A: No,not at all.  The beginners courses are however really popular and a great way to learn along side others at the same level as you.  However our classes are aimed at all levels of student and our teachers will offer instructions and modifications to suit beginners through to more experienced yogis.  We do have a class type specifically for beginners on the timetable called Beginners Flow which you might like to join initially. Q: Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?
A: Definitely not.  Yoga can be a great practice to help you gain flexibility but this is not the goal of yoga. Everyone's bodies are different and their yoga practice and postures will all be different too.  We want you to experience how a posture feels for your own body and to work within your limits.   Our teachers will give modifications so you can choose different forms of the postures that suit you and your body at that point.

Q: What happens when I arrive?
A: Arrive about 15 minutes before the class starts to check in and get settled. You can pay at the studio but its a good idea to prebook online as some of the classes are very popular.  Check that your mobile phone is switched off and please leave it in your bag/the cubby holes.  Please also be mindful that some students will be relaxing on their mats so we try to be as quiet and courteous to them as we can when we enter the studio.
