You can now access ACC funded Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY) at Yoga Ground. Jessica Dziwulska (www.brighterlife.nz) and Amy Benjamin (www.amybenjamincounselling.co.nz) have recently brought their TSY groups to our studio.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga sessions are thoughtfully designed to support those living with the aftermath of trauma as they gently reconnect with their bodies, find inner strength, and develop sustainable tools for well-being. These courses are open to anyone with an approved ACC Sensitive Claim, with occasional spots available to self-funding clients. These 8 week courses provide a supportive, nurturing space for every body, regardless of whether you have tried yoga before.
Jessica and Amy firmly believe in the power of combining traditional talk-based therapies with mindful movement practices that nurture both body and mind. With a referral from an ACC therapist or counselor, participants can gain access to a supportive community and valuable resources dedicated to their healing journey. Each session is crafted to meet you where you're at, honoring your unique path with compassion, understanding, and research-backed, body-based approaches to healing.
