Each year on 8 August, the Lion's Gate Portal reaches its peak, marking a powerful celestial alignment between Earth, the Sun in Leo, Sirius and Orion's Belt. Revered since ancient Egyptian times, Sirius was seen as a star of renewal, abundance and new beginnings.
The Lion's Gate occurs during Leo season, a time associated with courage, heart-centred living, creativity and authentic self-expression. Combined with the numerological power of 8, symbolising balance, abundance and infinite potential, it is considered one of the most potent energetic windows of the year for intention, reflection and transformation.
Through the grounding medicine of cacao and the immersive resonance of sound, we will gather to attune to the potent encoded energies of the Lion's Gate Portal, creating space to release what is complete, clear old patterns and limitations, and reconnect with the deeper wisdom, purpose and potential seeking expression through us.
Together, we will honour the lessons of the path behind us while opening to the possibilities that lie ahead. This is an invitation to listen deeply, soften into the wisdom of the heart, and align with the highest expression of who you are becoming.

Ceremonial-grade cacao is quite unlike the powered version bought in-store. The difference being that because it’s raw (uncooked) none of the goodness has been removed making it a pure, alive whole food with the activating properties that make it a transformational medicine, intact. Prepared with sacred intention, ceremonial cacao is a powerful initiator for opening the heart and releasing that which no longer serves us. Here it’s combined with kundalini activation breath work, along with the immersive vibrations of the Sun Gong and shamanic instruments, and a guided meditation into a visualised volcano where your spirit guides are waiting to help you to heal, receive and transform.

An intention – ideal for the journey is to have an intention. For example: you may have a burning question or an issue requires insight. However if you can’t think of anything, all good, simply ask the cacao for guidance and let’s see what comes!
Bring a flower for the alter as a gift that honours nature and the Cacao Goddess. Why? Because reciprocity plays an important role both in life and in shamanic rituals

Hi, I’m Suzi Jowsey Featherstone and my spiritual journey began with Kundalini Yoga and Meditation (an ancient Raj and Kriya based practice involving breath, movement
and mantra) back in the mid 90s with UK based teacher Guru Dharam. Today I teach this yoga practice, and it was KY that brought me to experience cacao through Hamaima, the dynamic traveling shaman, healer and Kundalini Yoga teacher who first introduced me to the transformational powers of this beautiful, soft plant medicine. I now use ceremonial cacao daily for creative inspiration in my work, as well as facilitating shamanic sound journeys both with and without cacao that are geared toward helping people to cope with and improve on all of life’s seemingly constant ups and downs.
