Ever feel unsure about Sun Salutations or Vinyasa transitions — wondering if you’re doing them “right” or safely?
Or maybe your wrists, shoulders, or lower back don’t feel great during these sequences?
Sun Salutations and Vinyasa movements are foundational and frequently repeated in flow-based yoga classes. But the pace at which we typically move through them can make it difficult to fully understand the postures and transitions — or to move in a way that truly serves your body.
In this workshop, we’ll break down key postures and transitions commonly found in Vinyasa, including Chaturanga Dandasana (Four-Limbed Staff Pose) and Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (Upward-Facing Dog).
You’ll learn how to build strength for safe, sustainable repetition, explore alternative options, and gain tools to bring more creativity and variation into your practice.
Whether you’re looking to move with more ease, reduce discomfort, or deepen your understanding, you’ll leave this session with greater confidence and a repertoire of techniques and variations to support your ongoing practice.
No prior experience with Vinyasa yoga is necessary however this workshop is not suitable for complete beginners to the yoga practice. We welcome anyone with some foundational yoga experience — especially if you’ve felt unsure or hesitant about joining a Vinyasa class.
