How to Zoom with Kindness
We love that, thanks to technology, we can Yoga with you online via Zoom. This is a different way to practice compared to in person - for you and for your teacher - so there are a few things to keep in mind to help make the experience a good one for everybody.
Get your practice area ready before class begins, including any props you may need. We generally teach classes without the need for props but if you like you can use blankets, towels, pillows or anything else you have handy at home.
Arrive on time - we ask you are logged in and ready to go at least 5 minutes before the class start time. It can be very distracting for your teacher to have people entering the Zoom meeting and setting up on screen when the class has begun.
Be dressed and ready to practice when you arrive - as above it is considerate to everyone’s experience to be prepared prior to joining rather than doing this in the Zoom meeting.
If you need to leave during class that’s ok but please don’t “take us with you”….e.g. set your laptop up next to the kettle while you make a cuppa so you can still watch the class. You can also turn off your video screen at any time.
If you need to leave early do so quietly and discreetly, no need to signal to the teacher, message on the chat with the reason or send an apology email after. It's all good and we understand.
