The Yoga Ground, in the heart of Ponsonby, Auckland, welcomes the students of the Universe to come and try some classes! The studio is set in a spacious awarehouse with loads of natural light and energy for your practice.

Yogic postures, breathing techniques, meditation, yogic philosophy and chanting are taught. The classes are a lovely balance between the physical aspect of yoga and the creation of a meditative, quiet space.

Susan Allen, who is running the Yoga Ground, completed her training in India in the Sivananda Yoga discipline and has been teaching since 2002. Having also studied Ashtanga, Iyengar and Anusara yoga, the classes are a combination of these traditions.

Yoga can change your life. It teaches physical health both inside and out; it teaches mental and emotional stability. Above all yoga is a spiritual practice; using the postures, breath and meditation, yoga brings an experience of the spirit, the Self within.

Offering beginners, open and private classes, pregnancy yoga, kids yoga and meditation courses.
