Pregnancy and the pathway to motherhood is a very sacred and life-changing experience. Practicing yoga while you are pregnant is wonderful for the well-being of both you and your developing baby. Yoga promotes relaxation and stress management, improves overall circulation, enhances posture and can help alleviate some of the discomforts of pregnancy and birth.
These classes are designed for anyone who is 12 +weeks pregnant, who have had a regular yoga practice pre-pregnancy (for at least 6+ months) and wish to continue their classes.
You will practice alongside other mums-to-be in a safe and supportive environment. You will learn how and why to modify or skip certain yoga poses according to your body and your current pregnancy experience. No two pregnant students are exactly alike (just as no two non-pregnant students are exactly alike).
This not only means that a particular modification or pose variation might feel wonderful for one student and not so wonderful for another, discover your own body.
You will learn to tune into your body's natural instincts and how to modify certain yoga poses according to your unique pregnancy experience. The classes will be a time to practice gentle yoga but also provide opportunities to enable you to feel strong and empowered within yourself.
