Yoga Class descriptions
General – Flowing vinyasa with breath awareness. Each class a little different. Suitable for all levels – those with a little to a lot of experience.
Firm your Foundation – This class is for those who want a class crafted specifically with beginners in mind that can bridge to our mixed-level General classes. The asana sequences will be for a beginner-intermediate level. Drop-in, all welcome.
Yoga Nidra – Asana practice followed by 30-40 minute guided relaxation. Heavenly before bed on a Tuesday evening.
Yin – A slow nourishing practice where poses are held for 3-8 minutes. We use blocks and blankets as we gently, safely relax and stretch and open up energy channels in the body.
Community Singing – group singing, primarily call and response to acoustic music led by Franko Heke of the Gaya Tree. No need to be a good singer just up for a good time!
Beginner’s course / Introduction to Yoga – This is a 4 or 8 week course that runs back to back where students are taken through an introduction to the principles of the practices of postures and breathing. It’s a great place to begin your yoga journey so you have a good foundation to move into the General classes. More info and dates here.
